Community Advisory Council

Community-driven insights that help shape programs and priorities

The Community Advisory Councils (CAC) are vital groups of volunteer parents and caregivers who participate in or attend services specific to each First 5 Center. Each CAC serves as the community “voice” to inform each Center’s planning and implementation of programs and activities through community assessment and community engagement.

Throughout the year, CACs engage in data collection, reflection, and conversations with Center families—culminating in a presentation of key findings and recommendations that highlight the needs and priorities of the families they represent.
